Lymphatic System Marrow Production
The lymphatic system and marrow production are connected. Bone marrow is the flexible, somewhat spongy tissue located within bones. It is responsible for the creation of new blood cells. Bone marrow is also a critical part of the lymphatic system: Along with the red blood cells, it generates lymphocytes.
Bone marrow is a critical part of the lymphatic system. It's one of the most important lymphoid organs, which is able to produce lymphocytes from undeveloped hematopoietic progenitor cells. The bone marrow and the thymus are the main lymphoid tissues that are involved in the creation and initial selection of lymphocytes. The bone marrow also performs a valve-like function and prevents lymphatic fluid from backing up into the lymphatic system.
